Design Synergies provided interior architecture and design services to Kaleida Health for three projects at the BrookBridge Medical Building:  the Southtowns Surgery Center, Great Lakes Medical Imaging, and the Oishei Children's Hydrotherapy Center.

Southtowns Surgery Center is an 18,000-square-foot ambulatory surgical center offering outpatient services in orthopedic, plastics, and general surgery.  It has four fully-equipped operating rooms with private preoperative and post-operative bays for both Phase I and II recovery.  The facility was also designed to accommodate pediatric patients.

Great Lakes Medical Imaging provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to patients in this facility, including PET/CT scans, MRI's, x-rays, and ultrasounds.  The design of the suite was intended to create a more homelike and relaxing atmosphere for patients, utilizing a warm colour palette and dark wood furniture.  The Imaging Suite has two waiting areas, multiple diagnostic imaging rooms, and a conference room for staff consultations.

Oishei Hydrotherapy Center features a therapy pool for both adult and pediatric patients receiving physical and occupational therapy.  The pool features an underwater treadmill and viewing windows underneath the pool deck for therapists to monitor patients' progress.  Cameras enable each patient to be filmed for later review by the therapy team and the patient's family.  The design included office and waiting areas, changing rooms with chair-lift access, and an adjacent clinical suite for future expansion.  The design of the project required close coordination with Kaleida Health’s lead therapists who will be working out of the facility

For all three projects, Design Synergies provided interior architecture and FF&E services including the design, coordination, and specification of interior finishes and furniture.  Our team worked closely with Kaleida Health and the Construction Manager for each suite.
